Building up your dream graduate school list is never easy! Attend this session to explore the considerations and best practices in optimizing your school search. We will discuss strategies to optimize your graduate school search and explore graduate programs through official program websites and higher education databases. During the session, you will also be given an opportunity to build up your own school list. Students are highly recommended to bring their laptop/PC.

This session hopes to introduce various graduate school programs to students interested in pursuing their post-grad in Japan or South Korea. The first half of the session will introduce prominent schools, scholarship opportunities, the general application requirements, and timeline to apply for programs in East Asia. The second half of the session will be a panel discussion focusing on previous experiences from our faculty who have studied abroad in Japan or South Korea.

This presentation provides students with both grad school application timeline and time management skills during the grad school application process. At the end of the session, students will be able to utilize strategies to tackle potential challenges during graduate school application including timeline, recommendation letter, studying for exams, and self care.

Scared of writing your personal statement? Want to stand out from thousands of applicants? Need to learn how to avoid cliches and have an interesting beginning? This workshop on personal statements is what you need! In this workshop, we will cover the basic elements of personal statements, introduce the dos and don’ts and help you brainstorm. Come join us!

The panel invites faculty, student representative, and an advisor to share their insight on graduate school choices and application tips. Students will have the opportunity to communicate with panelists and get advice on enhancing their graduate school applications in the final stage.
