Graduate school advising offers one-on-one meetings and group sessions that provide undergraduate students with helpful information and advice related to graduate school applications and degrees. These are open to all NYU Shanghai undergraduate students and cover topics such as personal statements & letters of recommendation, decision matrices, as well as graduate programs and career pathways for particular fields. Graduate School Events
Graduate School Blast (GSB) is an annual flagship program with 12-15 events hosted by the Academic Advising Office aimed at supporting NYUSH undergraduate students’ pursuit of graduate programs beyond their NYUSH journey. Celebrating its 10th year in 2023, GSB series has supported more than 3,000 students. Carefully crafted based on student needs at NYUSH, the GSB series covers a diverse range of topics suitable for students considering/planning for/applying to graduate schools and includes four pillars: panel discussions, skill-based workshops, pre-professional sessions, and NYUSH-exclusive information sessions.
Panel discussions feature faculty members and graduate school advisors from NYU global network NYUSH Alumni, and skills-based workshops cover graduate school application preparation, school search, personal statement, and global awards opportunities. Pre-professional sessions include Medical, Law, and Business schools, and information sessions hosted by prestigious graduate programs including the University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins University, Cornell, NYU Abu Dhabi, NYU New York, Vanderbilt, etc. Learn more about the Graduate School Blast.
