The NYU Shanghai Creativity + Innovation Fellowship empowers NYU students to critically and creatively engage with the dynamic innovation landscape in contemporary China. This immersive program brings together selected students from across the NYU network who are passionate about exploring the intersections of design, entrepreneurship, business, and culture as part of their global journey.
Program Highlights
Stipend: Fellows will receive an unrestricted stipend of $1,000 distributed in two installments: one after the add/drop period and the other towards the end of the semester.
Fellows’ Retreat: This unique Fellowship opens with an all-expenses-paid retreat at an iconic location such as the Great Wall in Beijing or the beautiful mountains of Anhui Province. You will gain cultural context and intentionally envision and design your unfolding study away journey.
Exploratory Experiences: You will get to participate in curated field trips offering behind-the-scenes access to exciting companies and organizations. These will highlight real-world examples of creativity and innovation that are shaping the future of industries and society.
Creative Showcase: At the end of the semester, you will have the opportunity to share your insights and reflections in a creative way. This culminating event not only helps you synthesize your learning and growth but also opens doors to valuable networking opportunities.
