Dr. HUANG, Yixin

*Dr. Huang will lecture on the topic of the impact of aging on health and mental health.

Biography:

Dr. Huang is a Chief Physician and the Deputy Director (in charge of work) of the Department of General Practice at Huadong Hospital affiliated to Fudan University. His professional expertise is widely recognized through his key roles in national and municipal academic bodies:

  • Deputy Leader of the Question Setting Expert Group at the National Medical Examination Center
  • Member of the Special Committee on Process Assessment of the Chinese Medical Doctors Association (CMDA)
  • Member of the First Committee of the Branch on Innovative Technology of Digestive Tract Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of the China Geriatric Health Care Association
  • Deputy Director of the Committee on Integration of Medicine and Engineering of the Shanghai Geriatrics and Gerontology Medical Association
  • Member of the General Practice Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association
  • Member of the first standing committee of the General Medicine Group of the Shanghai Association of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine
  • Among the first batch of experts inducted into the Shanghai Health Popularization Expert Database
Dr. SUI, Yujie

Dr. SUI, Yujie

*Dr. Sui will lecture on the topic of elder care arrangements in China.

Biography:

Dr. Sui holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. She is an Associate Professor, former Director of the Department of Social Work, and PhD supervisor at the School of Sociology and Population Studies, Renmin University of China.

Her research focuses on gerontological social work, professionalization and specialization of social work, and social work education.

She serves as a member of the First National Expert Committee for Social Worker Professional Qualification Assessment and Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Social Work Education.

She earned her LL.B. from the Department of Journalism, Renmin University of China in 1985, completed postgraduate studies in 1987, and obtained her Ph.D. in Social Work and Social Administration from the University of Hong Kong in 2001.

Since 2002, she has been teaching at the School of Sociology and Population Studies, Renmin University of China. As an expert member, she participated in multiple initiatives to advance the professionalization of social work led by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, including the development of the industrial standard Guidelines for Social Work Services for the Elderly.

She has led nearly 20 research projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, Beijing Municipal Social Science Fund, Ministry of Civil Affairs, and other institutions. Following her retirement, she has participated in the National Silver-Age Teachers Action Initiative, a program advocated by the Ministry of Education and ten other national authorities.
