The NYU Shanghai Class of 2023 holds the distinction of being the inaugural cohort of graduates from the New Bund campus. Despite unforeseen challenges, the Class of 2023 has achieved a 92% overall employment and graduate education rate. The 382 graduates from 36 countries can now be found all over the world, with 69% choosing to work or study in places other than their home countries.
57.5% of our graduates have enrolled in graduate programs at top universities around the globe. Among them, a record 17 individuals are studying at some of the world's most prestigious PhD or JDs programs, after receiving an average of 6.6 admission letters. 178 graduates are studying for master's degrees. Three graduates were selected for globally competitive scholarship programs, including the Erasmus Mundus Scholars Program and US Fulbright Program.
34.5% have joined the workforce in Asia, North America, and Europe. The top six employment fields include Accounting/Banking/Finance, Hardware/Internet/IT/Software, Consumer Goods/Entertainment/Food/Hotel, Education/Research, Government/Law/NGO/Public Service, and Management Consulting. Some have chosen to follow paths of public service by promoting educational innovation in rural areas. 8 international graduates chose to pursue further studies or work in China.
