YSEALI Academic Fellows and Grants

YSEALI provides students with a five-week institute on campus of U.S. which includes an academic residency, leadership development, an educational study tour, local community service activities, and opportunities to engage with American peers.

Yenching Academy

The Yenching Academy is an elite two-year Masters at Peking University (Beida) focused on China Studies. Bringing international student leaders closer to China, it provides a generous postgraduate scholarship that covers tuition fees, a travel stipend for one round-trip journey between each Scholar’s base city and Beijing, accommodations, and living costs on Peking University's campus. The Academy offers a residential program aimed at creating a community of enthusiastic, globally oriented young innovators in the heart of Beida.

Writing and Speaking Fellowship - NYU Shanghai

The NYU Shanghai Writing and Speaking Fellowship enables accomplished individuals with a passion for teaching to provide academic support and enrichment to the students who make up NYU Shanghai's multicultural student body. The primary role of the position is to provide academic tutoring and support. Fellows conduct one-on-one writing consultations and deliver workshops that help students improve academic skills in close reading, public speaking, time management and more.

VIA Global Community Fellowship

The Global Community Fellowship is a 13-15 month program for recent university graduates and starting as well as experienced professionals. Fellows work at NGOs, schools, universities, and social enterprises across Asia to support community development, capacity-building, and education. By working directly with communities, fellows get hands-on experience learning how organizations in Asia are using creative and innovative methods to address critical social challenges.

Udall Scholarship (Environment or tribal affairs - US citizens)

The Udall Foundation’s programs promote leadership, education, collaboration, and conflict resolution in the areas of environment, public lands, and natural resources in order to strengthen Native nations, assist federal agencies and others to resolve environmental conflicts, and to encourage the continued use and appreciation of our nation’s rich resources.

Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF)

The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) is one the Cultural Services of the French Embassy’s longest running and most sought-after programs. Each year, TAPIF places around 1,300 Americans into French public schools to work as English language teaching assistants for 12 hours a week. TAPIF works with France Éducation international (FEI) to place language assistants in classrooms of all ages across metropolitan France, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and La Réunion.

Teach for China

Teach for China program aims to provide education to Chinese kids who are not able to gain education due to family background or healthy issues. In this program, students will experience the life in Chinese rural ares and serve as voluntary teachers. Through this remarkable life experience, students may make their first steps to immerse themselves in voluntary career which is a meaningful lesson for all students to step into society.

Schwarzman Scholars

Public Policy, Economics and Business, International Studies Details: Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is a one-year scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st century. Students in this program will spend a year immersed in an international community of thinkers, innovators and senior leaders in business, politics and society.

Samvid Scholars

The Samvid Scholars program supports up to $50,000 per year for two years of graduate study. In addition to funding for their graduate program, each Scholar will receive two years of leadership development programming to support them to continue to fulfill their extraordinary potential.
