A Diplomatic Conversation

Madame Fu Ying, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the National People’s Congress of China addressed a packed auditorium at NYU’s Law School on the evening of December 1. Among the highest ranking women in Chinese government, Madame Fu shared insights about the importance of the human dimension  in international relations, drawn from her experiences as a top Chinese diplomat.

Following her remarks, former US Ambassador Stapleton Roy joined Madame Fu in a conversation about the future of relations between the United States and China, moderated by NYU Shanghai’s Vice Chancellor Jeffrey S. Lehman.
