Emily Tsiang is an Associate Arts Professor of Interactive Media Business (IMB) at NYU Shanghai and affiliated with the Program on Creativity + Innovation. She comes from Stanford, where she taught design thinking, Designing Your Life, and launched the Life Design Accelerator. Prior to joining academia, Emily co-founded CULTURE LABx, led global M&A integrations for Cisco, and managed urban economic development initiatives for the City of New York.
She holds a BA in Economics & East Asian Studies from UCLA and an MBA in Organizational Strategy & Design from University of Michigan. Emily's research areas explore the first year experience and the function of human agency in global learning experiences.
