EHS Emergency Response

EHS provides support to NYU Shanghai in responding to emergencies emphasizing protection of health and safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors; preservation of academic and intellectual capital and protection of vital infrastructure and other physical assets.

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

To report emergencies/incidents, call Public Safety at 2059 5500. Our Command Center is available 24/7 to provide support to University personnel for emergencies.

If you are experiencing emergency, call the following numbers:

All areas where chemicals are stored or used should have an Emergency Contact (PDF) information door sign posted on the door. The names of people responsible for that area, as well as 24/7 contact phone number for those people should be listed on the sign.

For laboratory department, the principal investigator’s and departmental lab director’s contact information should be displayed.

Material Safety Data Sheets

Copies of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are located in laboratories and chemical storage room. Public Safety has the access to these documents in the event of an emergency. In addition, many chemical MSDS can be found on the web:
