Fire Drills on Campus and Student Residence

On Wednesday August 27th, 2014, NYU Shanghai successfully conducted the first fire drill in its brand-new academic building. Hundreds of students and staff evacuated from the building through numerous exits and gathered at the assembly points for a head count. The following evening, sophomores and freshmen at the student residence experienced yet another fire drill. These drills were meant to familiarize students, faculty, and staff with designated escape routes while heightening their awareness of emergency evacuation protocol.
