NYU Shanghai Receives Ancient Chinese Books from Ministry of Education

NYU Shanghai acquired a cache of ancient Chinese books as a gift from the Ministry of Education. Comprised of 13,404 volumes, these quality reproductions represent the four traditional realms of Chinese knowledge: history, philosophy, literature, and classics. Many of the originals are over 1,300 years old. Normally scattered throughout China, these volumes, now located under one roof, will serve as an invaluable resource for research and teaching.
