The Yenching Academy is an elite two-year Masters at Peking University (Beida) focused on China Studies. Bringing international student leaders closer to China, it provides a generous postgraduate scholarship that covers tuition fees, a travel stipend for one round-trip journey between each Scholar’s base city and Beijing, accommodations, and living costs on Peking University's campus. The Academy offers a residential program aimed at creating a community of enthusiastic, globally oriented young innovators in the heart of Beida. Enrolled international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan spend 12 months in residence at the Yenching Academy. For students from Mainland China, the program lasts 24 months. Coursework is completed during the fall and spring semesters, and it is supplemented by additional study during the summer. Upon completion of their year in residence, students have up to one more year to finalize projects and defend their thesis. During this period, students in good academic standing may apply for a limited number of Teaching, Research, or Administrative Assistantships. In addition, Dean’s Research Grants will be awarded on a bi-annual basis to help fund selected research projects related to China Studies.

Eligibility: Applicants should have:

• 1) Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field, awarded no later than August 31 of the year in which they wish to enroll;
• 2) An outstanding academic record;
• 3) Strong interest in interdisciplinary study of China;
• 4) A record of extracurricular achievement, community engagement and social responsibility;
• 5) Leadership potential;
• 6) English proficiency.

Silver Scholars is a unique chance for students to earn an MBA three years after graduation, with a specialized cohort and curriculum. The first year develops skills and managerial mindset through a core curriculum. The second year students complete a full-time internship, while the third year Scholars will return to campus for the conclusion of MBA program.

The NYU Shanghai Writing and Speaking Fellowship enables accomplished individuals with a passion for teaching to provide academic support and enrichment to the students who make up NYU Shanghai's multicultural student body. The primary role of the position is to provide academic tutoring and support. Fellows conduct one-on-one writing consultations and deliver workshops that help students improve academic skills in close reading, public speaking, time management and more.

Eligibility: Under the regulation of Chinese Laws, candidates should be Chinese citizens or native speakers of English. The definition of the term "native English speakers" will be delimited according to the specific regulations of the relevant Chinese authorities, and insurance of relevant legal documents for the Fellowship, if admitted, is subject to the local Chinese Immigration Policies. Accepted international candidates with fewer than two years of continuous formal teaching experience will be required to complete TEFL training and certification prior to the start of the Fellowship to obtain the work visa and permit.

The Global Community Fellowship is a 13-15 month program for recent university graduates and starting as well as experienced professionals. Fellows work at NGOs, schools, universities, and social enterprises across Asia to support community development, capacity-building, and education. By working directly with communities, fellows get hands-on experience learning how organizations in Asia are using creative and innovative methods to address critical social challenges.

Eligibility: "Due to certain visa/work permit restrictions and the needs of our partner organizations, fellowship posts are often limited to US citizens/residents, or individuals who have received their bachelor’s degree from a US university. We will review the eligibility of non-US citizens on a case-by-case basis."

The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) is one the Cultural Services of the French Embassy’s longest running and most sought-after programs. Each year, TAPIF places around 1,300 Americans into French public schools to work as English language teaching assistants for 12 hours a week. TAPIF works with France Éducation international (FEI) to place language assistants in classrooms of all ages across metropolitan France, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and La Réunion. The seven-month contracts, which can be renewed twice (consecutively or not), enable young adults to gain valuable classroom experience, improve their French language skills, and immerse themselves in the francophone world.

Eligibility: TAPIF applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 35, native English speakers, and US citizens or permanent residents. Intermediate proficiency in French is required (B1 or higher on the CEFR Scale).

Teach for China program aims to provide education to Chinese kids who are not able to gain education due to family background or healthy issues. In this program, students will experience the life in Chinese rural ares and serve as voluntary teachers. Through this remarkable life experience, students may make their first steps to immerse themselves in voluntary career which is a meaningful lesson for all students to step into society.

Public Policy, Economics and Business, International Studies Details: Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is a one-year scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st century. Students in this program will spend a year immersed in an international community of thinkers, innovators and senior leaders in business, politics and society. This experience will expand students’ understanding of the world, with a focus on China's role and international relationships, and create a growing network of scholars, executives, and innovators across fields. Comprehensive scholarship including tuition, fees, room and board, travel to and from Beijing, an in-country study tour, books, supplies, laptop and smartphone, health insurance and personal stipend.

Eligibility: All nationalities; Undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent; English language proficiency (this requirement is waived for applicants who studied at an undergraduate institution where the primary language of instruction was English for at least two years of the applicant’s academic program), acceptable test options are TOEFL PBT, TOEFL iBT and IELTS.
