Yao Lin

Yao Lin (林垚) is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Political Science at NYU Shanghai, and was previously a Global Perspectives on Society Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, he had taught and researched at a variety of institutions including Columbia University, Yale University, City University of Hong Kong, and Beijing Normal University. His research and teaching range over philosophy, political theory, comparative politics, and law, and he has written extensively in those areas for both academic and non-academic audiences, especially on applied ethics, liberalism, democratic theory, feminism, American politics, and Chinese politics.
