Due to the COVID-19, NYU Shanghai Career Development Center and the NYU Global Alumni Program decided to move the Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series online to reach as many students and alumni as possible. The series is a 1-hour live session including a lecture or panel (45 minutes) and an interactive Q&A section with the audience (15 minutes). Through these sessions, by listening to our brilliant and engaged alumni sharing their experiences, wisdom, and industry knowledge, we hope students can gain new insights in planning their careers.
Career Panel Talk: Arts & Design
Advancements in technology have revolutionized the arts and design industry, as well as their relationship with the rest of the economy. The arts and design industry has spurred innovation and knowledge transfer across all sectors of the economy and is a critical sector to foster inclusive development. In such a backdrop, we invited NYU TSOA ’05 alumni Julliet Pan (the Founder of SHE&JUL Films Productions and Media Company), NYU STERN ’03 alumni Joshua Fu (the Founder of HOIC Group, Global Belt Road Investment and Development) and NYU Shanghai CO’18 alumni Zhao Nan (User Experience Designer, Huawei) to share their experiences, wisdom, and industry knowledge and inspire our students to gain new insights into planning careers in the arts and design industry.
