NYU Shanghai's Women's Soccer team has won the Shanghai Intercollegiate League table for the first time, after beating rival team USST 1-0. The match took place on Thursday at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, with dozens of NYU Shanghai supporters there to cheer the team on. The first half of the game was intense. Although NYU Shanghai were dominating the field with full control of the ball, USST did a great job of defending against the team's strikes. The first half ended 0-0. During half-time, Coach Darren made some strategic changes on dribbling and passing. In the second half, the NYU Shanghai players started being more positive in their attack. Eight minutes into the second half, Amy Decills scored the winning goal. Victory was even sweeter, as this was the second time the Women's team had reached the Shanghai Intercollegiate League final, after losing the title to Fudan University in 2017.
