For Visitors of Employees
- All the NYU Shanghai faculty and staff are eligible to initiate the visitor appointment process.
- Please note that visitors may not initiate the process on their own. A designated faculty or staff member must serve as the contact person, communicate with the visitor, and complete the visitor appointment form prior to the visit. Approval from deans or department heads is not required for this process.
For visitors of students
- Each day, 50 visitor registration slots are available for students on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Each student may register up to three visitors per appointment.
- For student visitors to campus, students are required to pick up their visitors at the West Gate Reception and accompany them for the entire duration of the visit.

New Bund Campus
- Location: 567 West Yangsi Road
- Reception Hours: 8:00AM - 8:00PM
- Visitor Access: Visitor access is valid for 24 hours.
Residence Halls
- Located at each residence hall
- Open 24/7
- Visitor Access: Visitor access is valid for 24 hours.
- Departure Requirement: All visitors must leave the residence halls before 11:00 PM.
Rules for Visitors

- Public Transportation is recommended for external visitors due to limited on-campus parking availability.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside campus buildings and residence halls.
- Please remain in public areas unless explicitly invited by your host.
- Follow safety instructions issued by university staff.
- Visitors are responsible for their personal belongings. The University is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
- Visitors must remain with their host for the entire duration of the visit.
- Do not take photographs of individuals without their permission.
- In the event of an emergency or fire, use the stairs and exit the building via the nearest emergency exit. Do not use elevators. Refer to the evacuation map for the designated assembly point and proceed there for headcount.
