Academic Advising Hosts Prehealth Information Session

On Thursday, October 9th, NYU Shanghai Academic Advising Office hosted its first Prehealth Information Session for students who aspire to go to US medical schools after graduation.

Jackie Klein, Assistant Dean for Academic and Global Affairs, and Tony Shen, Academic Advisor, started the session by reviewing a list of recommended coursework in preparation for US medical schools.

Jane Hsu, Career Development Center Manager, presented on practical prehealth opportunities and options for MCAT preparation.

Charlene Visconti, Dean of Students, explained the medical school application timeline and the admissions process.

Following the presentations, Dr. Warren Ho, Physician from Parkway Health shared his medical school experience at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, providing students with insider knowledge on the nature of medical school.
