The inaugural NYU Shanghai Career Fashion Show made its debut during the evening of March 12th at Global Harbor. Planned by the University’s Student Government Programming Committee and supported by Student Life, the Career Development Center, and Global Harbor, the fashion show demonstrated to students how to dress appropriately for different occasions.
Student models strolled down the runway during the 30-minute show, which was presented in three sections: how to dress for interviews, daily life, and networking events. Juan Carlos, a freshman student from Mexico, expressed his excitement as one of 40 students selected to model in the show, “It is amazing to see how this show has been put together entirely by students and welcomed by our peers. I wish the show was longer!”
The fashion show event was part of Career Week presented by the University’s Career Development Center. The Center helps prepare NYU Shanghai students for a professional future with career-related workshops and networking events.
