During his summer GRI fellowship, Professor Mingzhen Lu will collaborate with Prof. Kangning Huang to investigate the spatial mismatch between China’s rapidly growing urban populations and their built environments—a phenomenon marked by both “ghost towns” and overcrowded urban villages.
