Julie Horne is a Lecturer in the English for Academic Purposes program at NYU Shanghai. Horne holds an MEd in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Hong Kong.
Horne’s research interests include applied linguistics, constructivist teaching and learning, and skills-based curriculum design. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, she was an educational leader and English teacher in Portugal. Horne also served as an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course and assessment coordinator at the City University of Hong Kong. Horne has also held roles as an International English Language Teaching System (IELTS) examiner and as an English for Academic and Professional Purposes instructor in Canada.
