Pianist Meiling Chen, born in Xiamen, China, began her rapid development in piano studies under the guidance of Meiqing Zhang and Xiaoyan Lin in Xiamen Music High School. This study continued with her pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music on Scholarship studying with Prof. Jingjing Wang. Furthermore, a prize winner of the Tianjin Piano competition, Chen was voted as the top ranked pianist at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music. This culminating stage in her studies lead Chen to pursue her Master's Degree in Piano Performance at NYU Steinhardt under the guidance of Prof. Eduardus Halim, Sascha Gorodnitzki, and sat protege of the legendary pianist, Vladmir Horowitz.
