Qian Liu is a Language Lecturer at NYU Shanghai. She received a Masters of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) from East China Normal University. She has worked as a Chinese instructor at the University of Oregon from 2014-2016 and worked in the Chinese Program at the University of North Texas in 2016-2017. Professor Liu has also worked at the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) in Shanghai as a Chinese teacher.
Professor Liu’s research interests are in Chinese phonetics and Second language acquisition. Her proposals were accepted by ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) and she presented her papers at the Annual Convention in 2014 (Exploration in Phonetic Training & Testing on Chinese as Second Language) and 2016 (Study of the feedback and correction in tones tests (Novice & Intermediate level) in Chinese Learning).
