Marcos L. Martínez is a Coordinator for the Academic Resources Center in the Writing Program and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Writing Program at NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining the faculty, he was a lecturer for NYU’s Global Liberal Studies program in Washington, DC. He has also been a lecturer at Georgetown University, and served as the Mentor for Faculty Teaching Multilingual Writers with the writing center at George Washington University. He holds an MFA from George Mason University—where he co-founded Stillhouse Press as a book acquisitions editor—and a BA from Georgetown University.

A Macondo and Lambda Literary Fellow, Martínez’ writing has appeared in Split This Rock, Pilgrimage Journal, Mom Egg Review, the HIV +/- Here and Now Project, and MetroWeekly.
