Lisa Sun is President and CEO of AIG China, one of the largest wholly-owned foreign P&C insurance company in China. Currently, Lisa also serves as the Director of the board for AIG Insurance Company China Limited.

Prior to joining AIG, Lisa was CEO for Mercer Hong Kong and South & East Asia Zone, and she was also the Chairman for Marsh & McLennan Companies for Hong Kong. With operations in 7 countries and serving clients in 13 territories, Lisa was focused on bringing the best of Mercer’s capabilities in advancing the health, wealth and career of the most vital asset of our clients in Asia – their people.

Lisa brings close to 25 years of experience in markets of varying maturity and geographic locations. Prior to Mercer, Lisa worked at Zurich in a variety of positions, starting as the Deputy Head of Life Protection for Global Life Asia Pacific & Middle East Region (APME) with full P&L responsibilities and then later serving as the Head of Proposition Management and Development for Zurich Topas Life, Indonesia and Zurich Life Singapore. Earlier in her career, Lisa was Deputy Chief Actuary and Vice President for Worldwide Accident and Health for AIG Life Companies; Regional Actuary and Associate Vice President for AIU Accident and Health SEA and Greater China Region; and Assistant Actuary for Liberty Mutual Group in Boston (USA).

Lisa received her Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and computer science from Clark University in Massachusetts, USA. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS/2003) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA/2002). Lisa currently serves on the Board of Advisors for NYU Shanghai’s Master’s Program on Organization Management and Strategy.
