Jacob Richey is a Postdoctoral Instructor of Mathematics, NYU Shanghai. Previously, he held postdoctoral appointments at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics in Budapest, and the University of British Columbia.

Research Interests

His research is in probability theory, with a focus on models and phenomena arising from statistical physics and discrete mathematics including interacting particle systems, pattern avoidance, and self-organized criticality.
