Emily Tsiang is the Director of Global Experiential Learning, Program on Creativity and Innovation and an Associate Arts Professor of Interactive Media Business (IMB) at NYU Shanghai. She comes from Stanford, where she taught design thinking, Designing Your Life, and launched the Life Design Accelerator. Prior to joining academia, Emily co-founded CULTURE LABx, led global M&A integrations for Cisco, and managed urban economic development initiatives for the City of New York.
She holds a BA in Economics & East Asian Studies from UCLA and an MBA in Organizational Strategy & Design from University of Michigan. Emily's research areas explore the first year experience and the function of human agency in global learning experiences.
