Brad Weslake

Brad Weslake is the Co-Area Head of Humanities and an Associate Professor of Philosophy at NYU Shanghai. He is also a Global Network Associate Professor at NYU. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, he was Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Rochester. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, a BA (Hons) from the University of Newcastle, and a BA and BCompSci from the University of Wollongong.
Professor Weslake’s central research interest is philosophy of science, especially causation and explanation. He also works on related topics in philosophy of physics, philosophy of biology, and philosophy of mind. His work has appeared in Australasian Journal of Philosophy, The British Journal for the Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Science.
