Dr. Abraham Reznick received his BA degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Vermont and his PhD from Florida State University at the Institute of Molecular Biophysics and continued his post-doctoral work at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel.  Afterwards, he became an academic member in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology of The Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion where he became an Associate Professor of Medical Sciences.

His research interests have been in the area of oxidative damage to biological systems and specifically, the effects of cigarette smoke on biological signal transduction processes. In addition, he also has studied some aspects of muscle aging and muscle proteins breakdown in immobilization and aging. Prof Reznick has served as secretary general of the Israeli Gerontology Society and president of the Israeli Oxygen and Free Radical Society. In recent years he was nominated as director of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion.
