Rong Chang Scholarship

Rong Chang Scholar “荣昶学者” is a program in collaboration with Fudan University which is open to all college students of Chinese nationality. It features an annual award for students of high achievements with a global vision. They also offer opportunities for internships with international organizations. The RCS nominations are made by the NYUSH Career Development Center. Interested students can consult the Chinese webpage here to stay up to date on the next application round.

Rhodes Scholarship, University of Oxford

The Rhodes Scholarship is the world's oldest, most famous scholarship, and is now open to all citizenships. Funding degrees in all research subjects, from Biochemistry to Artificial Intelligence, English Literature to Public Policy, it aims to nurture public-spirited leaders for the world's future. Rhodes Scholars study at the world-class University of Oxford, ranked first internationally in the Times Higher Education rankings in 2017. Scholars may pursue any full-time postgraduate degree (subject to limited restrictions) offered by the University of Oxford, with funding for 2-4 years.

Princeton in Latin America

International relations, public policy, economics, law, engineering, the sciences, pre-medicine, journalism, social sciences, foreign languages and literatures, the arts, and the humanities. Details: Princeton in Latin America (PiLA) partners with NGOs and multilateral organizations and places highly qualified recent college graduates in year-long service fellowships with nonprofit, public service, humanitarian, and government organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Princeton in Asia

Founded in 1898, Princeton in Asia (PiA) has been building bridges between the U.S. and Asia for over a century. PiA aims to foster mutual appreciation and cultural understanding by connecting service-minded graduates and partner organizations in Asia through immersive work experiences that transform perspectives, cultivate long-lasting relationships and benefit local and global communities.

Princeton in Africa

Princeton in Africa matches talented and passionate college graduates with organizations working across Africa for yearlong service placements. The program is open to graduating seniors and young alumni from any college or university accredited in the U.S. Fellows have helped improve education and public health, source fresh water and alternative energy, increase family incomes, and so much more.

Eligibility: All nationalities; Applicants should be young alumni or graduating seniors in order to join in this yearlong program

NYU DC Global Leadership Scholars Program

Scholars will participate in course and internship during the semester.The Meaning of Leadership is an experiential course that explores the nature of leadership in the 21st century. The NYU DC Global Leadership Scholars provides financial support up to $9,500 per semester.

Eligibility: Current NYU students

Application: Current NYU Students (from any of the campuses) apply by submitting the Study Away Application, by the appropriate deadline.

Deadline: February 15 for Fall; September 15 for Spring

National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Science & Engineering Details: National Science Foundation Grants funds research and education in science and engineering fields. One fourth of federal support goes to basic research. The Graduated Research Fellowship Program is open to graduating seniors and students already enrolled in graduate programs, providing funding for your degree. Microsoft Research Asia

Microsoft Research Asia (MSR Asia), established in 1998, is a leading research lab with locations in Beijing and Shanghai. The lab conducts basic and applied research in areas central to Microsoft’s long-term strategy and future computing vision. Its diverse research areas include natural user interface, artificial intelligence, cloud and edge computing, big data and knowledge mining, computer science fundamentals, intelligent multimedia, and computational science.
