I chose NYU Shanghai because it is different from most traditional Chinese universities—in my first year, I have the freedom to explore courses across various majors and discover what I truly enjoy. Additionally, in today’s globalized world, I believe that being in a diverse and international environment will better prepare me to develop a global perspective and become a global citizen with a Chinese heart.
