计算机科学与技术(计算机工程)

21世纪工程领域的挑战是多样的、复杂的和跨学科的。从纳米尺度到巨型项目,都关乎可持续发展问题、环境与能源限制、全球采购以及人道主义目标。面对全球竞争、自然资源日益减少以及复杂的社会需求,科技企业的领导者将是那些能够创新、富有创造力以及企业家精神,并知道如何将技术融入社会的人。上海纽约大学计算机科学与技术(计算机工程)专业旨在培养具有全球视野、接受广泛教育、拥有创造性思考能力的技术领导者。学生享有有利于激发创造性的学习环境,而创造性正是未来技术创新和企业发展核心所在。当今,计算机工程的产品几乎触及人类生活的方方面面。有了它们,我们可以通过网络摄像头与朋友聊天,用手机发送电子邮件,从自动提款机取款。但计算机工程师开发的产品不仅是笔记本电脑和信息网络,还会涉及重建基因组,设计机器人,开发提高企业效率的软件等等。

 

计算机科学与技术(计算机工程)专业包含一系列学科的课程。博雅教育核心课程提供了知识的广度,是一张“学习许可证”,让学生在一个多元文化的全球化世界茁壮成长,在日新月异的各领域快速学习、适应。此外,学生不仅要重点学习涉及科学、工程领域的工程学教育的技术部分,还要充分学习各领域科目,培养对文化、政治、经济、环境以及公共安全等方面的认识。在学习过程中,学生将参与提出概念、产品开发、市场推广的全过程,深入了解设计过程与技术发明是如何推进的。
