NYU Shanghai held its Third Graduate Convocation on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 10 AM to honor the accomplishment of 122 graduates representing the PhD programs in Computer Science, Neural Science, and Physics, as well as the Master of Arts program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, the Master of Science in Data Analytics & Business Computing, and the Master of Science in Quantitative Finance.
During the event, NYU Shanghai Chancellor Tong Shijun, Vice Chancellor Jeffrey Lehman, Provost Joanna Waley-Cohen, GSAS Dean Lynne Kiorpes, Steinhardt Dean Jack Knott, and Stern Dean Raghu Sundaram delivered messages recognizing the accomplishments of the 122 graduates. Student speakers, Yao Yao, MS ’22, and Ye Jin, MA ’22, represented their respective programs, and each graduate's name was read by faculty representatives.
A Graduation Reception was later held, to further celebrate the accomplishments for graduates of the masters programs in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, Data Analytics & Business Computing, Quantitative Finance, Interactive Media Arts, and Go Local graduates from NYU School of Professional Studies, Tandon School of Engineering, Courant Institute for Mathematical Sciences and School of Global Public Health.
