      李谷现任上海纽约大学心理学助理教授、纽约大学全球特聘助理教授、华东师范大学-纽约大学社会发展研究中心(上海纽约大学)核心成员、上海市青年东方学者。加入上海纽约大学前,他曾在加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学心理学系及护理学院担任由加拿大卫生研究院资助的独立博士后研究员。

     李谷教授的多元科学实验室(Diversity Science Lab)运用问卷调查、线上及线下行为和心理生理实验、心理干预、长期追踪数据分析等多种手段,关注性与性别少数(LGBTQ+)人群的发展和心理健康。他的研究兴趣包括:(1)设计心理干预和社会干预,帮助性与性别少数人群解决现实困境,如对亲友“出柜”以及应对来自社会的污名、偏见和霸凌;(2)关注性倾向随青春期发展的过程,尤其是性流动的过程;(3)探索爱与性之间的关系,如恋爱倾向和性倾向的关系。李教授的研究成果发表在包括Journal of Adolescent HealthDevelopmental Psychology以及Archives of Sexual Behavior等国际学术期刊上。

     在获得博士学位之前,李教授即加入了性学研究的知名学术期刊Archives of Sexual Behavior的编委会。他同时为Child DevelopmentDevelopmental PsychologyEducational Researcher等15余种国内外学术期刊审稿人。
