       沈雷娜现任上海纽约大学全球中国学助理教授、纽约大学全球特聘助理教授。加入上海纽约大学前，沈教授曾任教于荷兰莱顿大学和阿姆斯特丹大学。她在荷兰莱顿大学获得博士学位，曾任国际亚洲研究院博士后研究员。沈教授是亚洲城市知识网络（UKNA）成员。

      沈教授研究以上海为例，中国快速城市化进程所带来的社会和文化影响。她著有Shanghai Literary Imaginings: A City in Transformation（阿姆斯特丹大学出版社，2015），以及编著Spectacle and the City: Chinese Urbanities in Popular Culture and Art（阿姆斯特丹大学出版社, 2013）。
