On Monday, October 6th, NYU Shanghai launched NYU Speaking Freely Online (SFO) to all portal and study away students here in Shanghai. NYU Shanghai is excited to be the first school at the university to pilot this new program!
SFO is an easy way to find a language partner to interact and converse. Students can gain practice with either English or Chinese, or improve the existing language skills. The flexible structure of SFO allows learners to interact with their partners on their own time, at their own pace, and either in-person or online.
Mandarin and English will be the first languages to be rolled out in the initial phase of SFO. Spanish and Arabic will follow in the coming semester. The official website for NYU Speaking Freely Online is https://sfo.nyu.edu.
