MS in Global Finance Program Holds Module at NYU Shanghai

In June 2023, the Master of Science in Global Finance (MSGF) students completed their 5th learning module “Financial Markets and Corporate Finance in China” at NYU Shanghai, the first such module held since the start of the global pandemic in 2019 and since the University flung open the doors of its New Bund campus in early 2023.

Jointly offered by NYU Stern School of Business and the Business School of Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST), this year the MSGF program assembled a group of 17 executive-level practitioners representing over 10 countries. Students participated in interactive lectures, dynamic in-class discussions centered around relevant local business cases and an industry sharing session.  

Xin Chen, Professor at Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, delved into the topic of corporate finance in China, while Michele Geraci, NYU Shanghai Adjunct Professor of Finance and Assistant Professor of Practice in Finance Han Shen Lin took students on a deep dive into the Chinese financial system and how to operating business in China.
