Chancellor Yu Lizhong Delivers Speech at the United Nations

On May 28, 2015, NYU Shanghai Chancellor Yu Lizhong spoke at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. Titled "Education for the Globalized World," Yu's speech was captured by SinoVision Journal and detailed NYU Shanghai's development, mission, and methodology.

"We combine classroom teaching, cultural experience, social perspective, and research practice into one body to help students fully understand the world from different angles and develop a global vision and cross-cultural communication capabilities," Yu said.

The Chancellor also explained how NYU Shanghai's vision differs from those of traditional Chinese universities and how these revolutionary changes impact both students and China's higher education system.
