Alumni Executive Mentor Program Off to a Good Start

The NYU Global Alumni Programs and NYU Shanghai’s Career Development Center held a launch dinner on the night of November 12 for the second year of the NYU Alumni Executive Mentor Program. The goal of this program is to build up a vibrant alumni-student mentorship program that recognizes the professional achievements of our alumni while helping current NYU Shanghai students gain perspectives from the real world and receive guidance from mentors on their future career plans. This year, the mentor group has grown to 26, and students applications were close to 100. Vice Chancellor Jeff Lehman opened the evening and student leaders showcased the backgrounds of all the participants. Throughout the evening, student and mentors were encouraged to network together. During the academic year, students will meet regularly with their mentors to learn more about their specific field of industry and gain career advice for their future.
