Summer Housing

During Summer 2017, the NYU Shanghai residence hall will have limited beds available for students taking summer session courses and NYU Shanghai students who will be in Shanghai for university related projects or internships. Students studying away at NYU Shanghai taking summer session courses are required to live on campus unless they are eligible for a housing exemption (see information below). Students whose home campus is NYU Shanghai have the option to live in the residence hall, but are not required to unless they are taking the language immersion summer program.

To learn more about the NYU Shanghai residence hall, visit the Exploring the Hall section.

Available Rooms

During the summer period, students will have the option to live on our communal style living floors.

The layout of the communal style floors has an open floor plan. Eight to nine rooms per floor share five bathrooms, a kitchen, washer/dryer, and a common room. Students will be assigned by the same identified gender.

Single
Single will include a private bedroom space for student with bed, closet, and desk. Please note that because of the quick transition between semesters, the room may have multiple beds/furniture in it.

Standard Double
Standard Double will include bunked or lofted beds, closets, and desks.

Large Double
The difference between a large and standard double is the large double can accommodate both beds on the ground instead of lofted or bunked beds.
