Refund and Withdrawal Policy

Refunds are computed based upon the withdrawal date, which is the date and time the completed Drop/Add Form is received by the NYUSPS at NYU Shanghai office. Refunds are based upon the number of class meetings that have occurred between the start date of the course and the withdrawal date—not by the number of class meetings that a student has attended.

Withdrawal does not necessarily entitle a student to a refund or to a cancellation of tuition still due. Students are still responsible for any tuition penalties assessed even if they have not made a tuition payment.

Students are eligible for a 100% tuition refund for any course they withdraw from before the official start date. If the course has already started, the withdrawal and refund schedule is as follows.

●    For courses with six or more meetings: 75% refund if the student withdraws before the third scheduled meeting. No refund thereafter.

●    For courses with four or five meetings: 60% refund if the student withdraws before the third scheduled meeting. No refund thereafter.

●    For courses with one to three meetings: No refund is given after the first scheduled meeting.
 

If You Wish To Withdraw From A Course, Please Request A Drop/Add Form From The Office. Remember That Your Refund Eligibility Depends Upon The Date That We Receive Your Completed And Signed Form.
