NYU Shanghai is the intellectual home of some 200 of the world’s best scholars, researchers, teachers and mentors. Hailing from more than 20 countries and recruited from top institutions around the world, our faculty are leading experts in 25 disciplines from Mathematics to Computer Science to Psychology and Urban Design. Our faculty have been elected to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and China's Chang Jiang Scholar Program and many other distinguished societies. Conducting research in state-of-the-art laboratories and in some 11 specialized research institutes and centers, members of the faculty regularly publish their findings in leading scholarly journals.  
The university also draws on the faculty of the NYU Global Network who regularly spend semesters visiting and teaching in Shanghai.
