Yehuda Band is visiting professor of physics at NYU Shanghai. He is also a professor at Ben-Gurion University and has been a Harvard University Fellow (1991-1992). He also ran the Israel Science Foundation Center of Excellence (2003-2007). He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago.
Band was awarded the Barecha Fund Fellowship for Outstanding Young Scientists (1978), the Allied-Signal Inventor Award (1988), the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science Fellowship (1997), and the BGU Rector’s Prize for Excellence in Research (2006) and was appointed to the Snow Chair in Nanotechnology in 2007. He is a member of the Israel Physical Society and the Israel Chemical Society and was elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 1996.
