Ritwik Ranjan is a Global Perspectives on Society Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU Shanghai. Educated in India and the United States, Ritwik received his PhD from Princeton University in 2016. Situated at the crossroads of the Philosophy of History, the History of Ideas, and Literature, Ritwik's dissertation has been awarded the ICHTH Doctoral Dissertation Prize (2018) by the International Commission for the History and Theory of Historiography. Ritwik assisted undergraduate teaching in the departments of History, Near Eastern Studies and Sociology at Princeton and subsequently he taught courses covering various themes in European and South Asian history at the Indian Institute of Technology in Assam, India.
