Quinn Gibson is a Global Perspectives on Society Teaching Fellow at NYU Shanghai. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA (Hons) in philosophy and a BA in linguistics from the University of Calgary.
Dr. Gibson's research interests are at the intersection of ethics and the philosophy of mind, in particular in moral psychology and the philosophy of psychiatry. He also has strong interests in ancient philosophy, political philosophy, and applied ethics. More information about his research and teaching interests can be found on his personal website.
Prior to joining NYU Shanghai Dr. Gibson taught philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley, and for the Prison University Project in California State prison.
