Megan Herrold's research and teaching interests include: medieval and early modern English literature, political and gender theory, and forging connections between STEM and the humanities. Her current book project investigates how literary representations of "froward" or troublesome women can allow us to reimagine and even bring about new political possibilities. She holds a PhD in English from USC, an MA in English from the University of Virginia, and a BA in English with a minor in Chemistry from Hendrix College. When she's not teaching at NYU Shanghai, Megan lives in Los Angeles with her spouse Billy and cats Bowser and Gibby. She is originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas.
