Alice Chuang is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Writing Program at NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, she was a founding faculty member at Xing Wei College, Shanghai. She holds a PhD from Vanderbilt University and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Chuang’s research interests are 20th-century British and Irish literature, modernism, and film studies. She is currently working on an article that examines the roles of photography and film and their relationship to espionage in Elizabeth Bowen’s The Heat of the Day.
