NYU Shanghai Hosts HackShanghai on Nov. 15-16, 2014
Sep 30 2014

HackShanghai is China's largest college hackathon, modeled after similar events in the United States including HackMIT, PennApps, and MHacks. A "hackathon" is a 24-hour programming, building, and designing marathon, in which teams work through the night to create a product with any technology. Previous projects have included interactive web applications, mobile apps, hardware hacks, and more.

HackShanghai will be inviting 250 of the top student hackers from across China and the world to compete at NYU Shanghai this Nov 15-16th. All accepted teams will receive:

  • Free travel to Shanghai.
  • Free hardware for teams to use during the hackathon, including the Leap Motion, Thalmic Myo, Pebble smartwatch, and more.
  • Many chances to win over 100,000RMB of prizes

World-class judges will be evaluating teams' projects, and tech companies and startups will be recruiting on-site. Our current sponsors include Intel, UnionPay, ICBC, and many more.

If you can code, design, or build, we want you to apply! The application can be found at www.hackshanghai.com - the deadline is Oct 7th for international applicants, and Oct 15th for applicants in China.
